Andy Warhol Exhibition T-Shirt Columbus Ohio

Andy Warhol Limited Edition Exhibition T-Shirt Wexler Center Columbus, OH

(UPDATE NOTE: Unfortunately, this item was only available during the exhibition and can no longer be purchased. It was a really cool T-shirt though - and a truly excellent exhibition.  )

Now here's a gift that it would be almost impossible for my kids to get me in time for Christmas Morning. Let's see if they can. There's an exhibition of Warhol stuff at the Wexler Center in Columbus OH. Oh, it's a fine exhibition and you can learn more about it (and view some video of the great installation) at the Wexler Center website below.
I had a fine time while I was there and checked out the store and in the store I saw these limited edition Andy Warhol Exhibition T-shirts and found out that you could only get them at the store, even though they're advertised in the online store. So I didn't buy one, not because I didn't want one, I really do, a blue one with the yellow Warhol on the front, like the girl in the picture, Size Large. Not because I didn't have the $20.00 to spare that the fine looking T-shirt cost, but because I thought that would make a fine stocking stuffing gift from one of my ungrateful bairnes. Unique and only available in one place in the world, that's the kind of stuff Dad likes... So, there's 10 days till Christmas and the exhibition continues until mid-March 2009 Let's see what the Munchkins can come up with when faced with this little challenge. I brought you up to be resourceful.   So let the games begin!

Hint, There's an email address on the T-Shirt Purchase Store page where you can check availability to save you the trip if they don't have on in stock in your size / color choice... maybe you can beg someone there to mail it to you, to give your dear old Dad the gift that will give him joy for many years, maybe tell them I even blogged about it.

Rear detail, Andy Warhol, Other Voices, Other Rooms Exhibition T-Shirt.  Available only at the http://www.wexarts.org/ Wexler Center, Columbus Ohio.

I'm a big fan of Andy, and I'll always take a moment to pass on a good word or two about the fabulous Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh Ohio. It really is a treat to visit for fans of Andy's work and in the history of an important half century in US Popular Culture.

If you're going to Columbus, to get one of these shirts, or anything else here you'll find Columbus Hotels or Hotels near Columbus Airport Ohio (Gahana, OH and other Airports in Ohio). or perhaps you might need some Columbus Sports & Concert Tickets.

And here's a picture / map of Columbus and the Wexler Center so you don't get lost. The Wexler Center is located at 1871 North High Street at the corner of 15th Avenue on the campus of The Ohio State University. Here's further directions from the website.

PS: Follow up note to kids: I ended up buying The Police Certifiable DVD CD thing I blogged about last. I couldn't wait, which was unfortunate, I've seen liver Pharohs in the Museum than this. There are parts where the music is nothing like what's happening on the screen! There was an awful lot of studio overdubbing on that "live" show and the thing jams on every DVD player in the house right in the middle of "When The world is Running Down". Oh, and your Mom got herself the Computer she needed, despite the best efforts of the Geek Squad Guy (Goon Squad?) to tell her it would fall to bits and she'd lose all her pictures and other important stuff if she didn't spent close to 100 bucks on some special magic thing the Geek Squad do for new computers.... and to top that she was told that the using the McAffee stuff she was used to was like "having a plumber do your electrical"... Times are tough, but we're not going close to a Best Buy ever again, I'll tell you the rest of the story when you come home for the holidays (with the T-shirt). It's was almost as bad as being bullied by the guy at Art Van that we couldn't buy the leather sofa unless we bought the $50 leather protection kit, which we still haven't used or even unpacked since we bought the sofa home.

Godspeed on all your impossible gift finding treks, Cvetko Ostroznik.
